The duties of the Cashier are performed by demonstrating and encouraging Fusek's Hardware core values, in order to provide exceptional customer service while providing solutions in an efficient manner to customers shopping at Fusek's Hardware.
The Front End Associate is responsible for ensuring customers leave with a positive impression after shopping at Fusek's. This position is the first to give a positive first impression, direct the customer to a floor assoicate for assistance and thank customer for their purchase. An enthusiastic,can do, suupportive and positive attitude is esssential and a personality and approach that represents Fusek's Core Value is required. Manage the front end of the store.
Essesntial Duties and Responsibilities
Cashiering
Become beyond proficient wtih POS (point of sale), Understand all funcitons so that you can recieve payment in cash, credit cards, and issue a receipt, refunds, credits and change due and be accurate. Properly count the cash back to the customer. Your job is to know the POS inside and out.
Access customer's requirements for loading assistance and call on radio for extra help with getting to their vehicle.
Respond to inquiries and resolve complaints.
Promote and encourage customers to sign up for our True Value Rewards loyalty program for coupons and shopping offers.
Answer phones in a professional manner and direct calls to appropriate individual , floor associates or voicemail for specific associates or owners.
Maintain awarenesss and be informed of all promotions and adveriisements.
Keep POS clean, neat and organized-own the area as though it was your home.
Use of internal radio system.
Keep impulse and Dexter assigned -areas clean, neat, front faced and well stocked as well as inventorying, doing zerios in assigned zones every shift worked.
Keep POS well stocked with suplies such as bags, receipt paper and all other items.
Be conscoius of shoplifting activity and notify manager on duty of any behaviour.
Creat signs in EZ-Ad Tv and post to product.
Complete daily cleaning checklists.
Other administrative functions as assigned by management/owners.
Expectations:
Become proficient and knowledgeable of the items we carry and their location within the store. Understand the store layout and location of overall departments.
Be a team player. If responsibilities have been completed ask Manager on Duty what else needs to be done.
Work smart and effiecient.
Mininmum requirements:
High School diploama or GED Equivalent or current student
College preferred or vocational traing
Experience
Experience in retail either cashier, sales, customer service or back office
Experience in other"people focused" positions or endeavors
Skills/ Knowoledge
Knowledge of retail computer systems and have experience with electronic cash registers (Point of Sale).
Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong wilingness to learn.
Must have good typing skills and be proficient with using a computer which includes ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and outlook.

Physical requirments
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occaionally.
Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifitng and perfomring all functions as set forth.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Abilit to listen, understand and commnicate orally and in writing to comunicate with co workers and customers in person and over the phone.
Ability to bend twist, push and pull, stoop and kneel.

Qualifications
-EPICOR/Activant Eagle POS/Inventory management software experience idea, but other POS/inventory management software experience will be considered
-Knowledge of products and applications in hardware, building materials, paint, electrical, plumbing, lawn & garden, and tools
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and basic PC troubleshooting
-Preferably retail hardware experience
